The TURCK vortex flow meters measure reliably and wear-free the flow rate of water with an accuracy of 2% f.s. Vortex flow meters operate according to the flow separation principle, also known as "Karman vortex". If an exactly defined obstruction is positioned in a (minimum) flow, vortexes separate at a certain frequency (Karman vortex street). The vortex separation frequency detected by the flow meter is taken as the measure for the flow speed resp. flow rate.

TURCK has selectively strengthened its product portfolio with the precisely measuring inline flow meter FCVI, thus complementing the product range of thermal flow rate sensors with a high-precison device.
