The new generation of inductive sensors operate without a ferrite core. They are immune to strong magnetic fields occuring for instance in electric welding systems and many other applications such as lifts, electric furnaces etc.

The printed coil is of course also fully protected against magnetic fields. Durability of the devices is achieved through the right choice of housing. The uprox®+ sensors are therefore incorporated in TF80i coated brass barrels.
