The SDPX-IOL4-0001 is a DPV1 capable PROFIBUS-DP slave with integrated IO-Link master in one. The four C/Q channels (pin 4) are individually configurable and can be operated either in IO-Link mode (IOL) or in standard IO mode (SIO).

 

For hardware configuration, the SDPX-IOL4-0001 is represented as a virtual modular slave with 5 modules in the control environment. Slot 1 is operated via the IO-Link master module (IOLMM) and slots 2 to 5 via the IO-Link device modules (IOLDM).

 

The parameters for the IOLMM and IOLDM can be assigned either via the GSD file or acyclically using a function block (master class 1) or FDT/DTM (master class 2). The Service Parameter Data Unit (SPDU) is transported using the described Client Access Points (CAP). Additionally to the actual IO-Link function, the module features 4 digital PNP inputs on pins 2.
