The BLident data carriers (tags) are contactless readable and writable by a number of BLident read/write heads (transceivers).

For this purpose, the operating frequencies of both have to be in tune with each other.

The data carriers are maintenance-free and provided without battery.

When entering the transfer window (air interface) of the read/write head, the data carriers obtain energy from the radio waves and transfer of data is initiated.

The RFID operating frequency of the devices within the UHF band is different for every country. In Europe it is 865-868 MHz. To achieve the biggest possible air-interface, we recommend to use data carriers which are optimally tuned to the frequency band of the country of deployment. Alternatively we also offer internationally applicable broadband data carriers.

We offer UHF data carriers mounted in different rugged housings as well as in form of smart labels with EEPROM memory.

The attainable distances may vary within the UHF band. Several meters can be achieved, depending on the size of the data carrier and the read/write head, their mutual alignment and last but not least the mounting conditions.

We offer special data carriers made for high ambient temperatures or for direct mounting on metal.

High-temperature resistant types can be mounted in varnishing furnaces for example.
