The digital modules are designed for connection of NAMUR sensors (EN 60 947-5-6) or intrinsically safe actuators such as solenoids or indicator elements. If mechanical contacts are connected, it is required to implement a resistor circuitry (WM1, see accessories) when the wire-break and short-circuit monitoring function is activated.
