TURCK offers a wide range of inductive sensors for areas subject to explosion hazards caused by gases, vapours or mists. Sensors according to device category II 3 G comply with the requirements of the ATEX directive 94/9/EC and are approved for use in areas subject to short-term explosion hazards (zone 2). Ex i (intrinsically safe) NAMUR sensors or Ex nA (non-sparking) sensors fall into this category. The use of category II 1 G and II 2 G sensors is of course also permitted.
